The membership was about the same price as 2 adults, gave us 10% off food, quick entry, and close parking. Highly recommend. Throughout the zoo are stands for food and drink, (inc alcohol), gifts shops, and games, with a carousel in the center. Something for kids and grownups😁! The orangutans were the highlight of our visit as they were the most active and entertaining. We each had other favorites, from the baby rhino, Pygmy hippo, tapir, elephants, and ( possibly new?) tiger. The bird habitats were also worth seeing! I took off 1 star for the fact that there seemed to only be single animals for a number of species that are normally pack or herd animals - one painted dog, 1 zebra, 1 giraffe. (Not sure if tapir or okapi are herd animals, but there was only 1 Of each.)

My family (pre-teen, husband and I) had a memorable day here. We checked out the prices on Groupon and it was cheaper to purchase directly from the website. This allowed us to cut the ticket booth out and skip the line. The are in the process of switching from Halloween to Christmas along with doing construction but the layout was manageable! I was impressed with the amount of aviary stations that they had including a lot of exotic birds. The safari ride in the F550 was a little cheesy but interesting. I found ample amount of enrichment activities in all of the enclosures. Don't miss the fruit bats tucked away by the children's section and of course the manatee exhibit from below. We spent at least four hours and really enjoy all of the exhibits and animals. The layout was pretty simple with the spoke design. The only drawback was the schedule. It said there would be a macaw flyover. Multiple families were waiting and it never happened. After inquiring they said it was canceled due to construction. They should amend their schedule.

Well worth a leisurely afternoon. The animals are wonderful and some are quite exotic. Of course, one can't expect to see every animal in the afternoon on a hot Florida day, and that was the case with us. Some portions of the zoo were closed for renovation or special projects, but it was still a great afternoon. The surprise, to us with grown children, is how much there was to offer for small children. A "wet" zone for hot kids, free rides on some very cool rides. Lots of seats and benches strategically placed for tired walkers. Over all a great visit. And one I would highly recommend for people with small children. My one disappointment was the expensive admission fee. We have been to zoos all over the country and I don't remember ever paying that much for admission. It is a serious barrier, in my opinion.

Grounds were extremely well maintained, care given to every part of the public sections of the property. Animal exhibits were excellent. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.

Watching the monkeys, the zoo was in disarray. Lots of construction and the Safari ride was closed because their were not enough people in the park and it would probably start up in the afternoon! Well, there is not enough to look at to stay for another three hours. I have attended the zoo years ago with my children and it was an great experience for myself and children! The cost of sixty dollars is rather high but i hope it goes to support the animal care!

We are a family of five (kids ages 5, 8, and 10) and visited with our in-laws in August. It was HOT (in-laws decided to leave shortly after lunch), but we managed with refillable water bottles and cooling towels. We had also read about the kids' splash area, so we came prepared with bathing suits. The kids had a BLAST in that section after spending the morning exploring the zoo. I highly recommend arriving as early as possible. The parking lot was almost full when we arrived around 10:30-11:00. The Florida exhibit is currently undergoing refurbishment, so it was not available for viewing. Other than that, the animals and exhibits were interesting, informative, and fun. The kids' favorite section was the water play area and tree house. They also loved the zoo rides (kids train and roller coaster). I loved the orangutans - we were leaving around feeding time and got to see them in action! There's a new safari ride in the back of the park, but the wait time is highly unpredictable (due to inclement weather). I recommend checking it out if you can.

Took the grandkids here before school began again. They loved it. It was a bit confusing as to what rides and activities were included with the general admission ticket and which required a separate purchase, but we spent 3 plus hours enjoying the rides, animals and lunch. Lunch was pizza and a submarine sandwich at the Pizza place. Nothing special, but filling.

The zoo is beautiful and very clean. I rented an electric scooter so I could enjoy all the animals and have limited walking ability. I highly recommend this zoo.
